October & Halloween Events for Families in New England

It’s starting to cool off and pumpkin-everything is everywhere (someday we’ll talk about how much I love pumpkin, but despise the “Pumpkin-Spice-all-the-things” trend). We’ve created a round-up of some of the bigger events we found being held in New England this October, many of which center around Halloween. While we tried to find some of the most family-friendly events, please keep in mind that scare-thresholds often vary from child to child and some of these events might be more appropriate for tweens/teens while others may suit younger children. Hopefully this is helpful to any families that will be in the area in October looking for something fun to do!

While we’ve done our best to flesh out this list, it is by no means a complete list! Please feel free to reach out to us at contact@familyadhd.com if you’d like to discuss adding your event (or an event you know about) to our round-up. Please note that we will use our discretion when determining whether or not an event is a good fit for our round-up.

Out of the Area Halloween Events Worth Mentioning

While the events listed above are all located in New England, we thought it was worth mentioning a few that may require a plane trip, but we think are worth considering!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disney World – Orlando, FL – Sept 2-Oct 31
*We have previously covered this event and will post our experience from this year soon (we attended opening night)!

Mickey’s Haloween Party at Disneyland – Anaheim, CA – Sept 23-Oct 31
*This party is new this year and while we haven’t been yet, we’ve heard good things!

Note: Please keep in mind that we have not attended all of the events above and are not associated with any of the organizations/brands/companies hosting these events. This list is merely meant to be a reference. Those that attend should use their best judgement prior to attending. We cannot be held accountable for any poor experiences had at events listed.

I miss living in MA this time of year. There are so many things to do. I totally wish there was a Sir Richards Faire here too. So fun!
