Unboxing: Try the World Italy
If you’ve followed us for a while you’re probably already familiar with our Try the World unboxings. We recently received the Italy box while we were away and then we all came down with the flu, which took us out for weeks, so this is a little delayed in going up, but I’m glad we’re finally all feeling well to share our experience!
The boys really enjoy Try the World (if you couldn’t tell from watching their videos) because it mixes two of their
favorite things–good food and world travel!
Each box is carefully curated by chefs to provide recipients with a
taste of a different country with each delivery. We find most boxes have
around 7 or so products, but I don’t believe a specific number of
products is mentioned on the site. From our experience, boxes usually
include a number of savory products and a couple sweet products. While
most foods are ready-to-eat, some require cooking, which can be a fun
project to do with kids!
We love that every box includes a cultural guide that talks a bit
about the country the box was inspired by, a key for the products
included and delicious recipes!
Try the World Italy Box Included:
- Egg Paperadelle (La Pasta di Aldo)
- Ground Coffee (Giuliano Caffe)
- Classic Amaretti (Marbissi)
- Balsamic Vinegar (Scoeita Agricola Acetomodena)
- Truffle Zest (Sabatino Tartufi)
- Pesto Sauce (Cascina San Cassiano)
- Mushroom Risotto Kit (Terrigena)
- Hazelnut Cream (Maison della Nocciola)
Seamus’s favorites were:
- Everything! He literally loved and ate everything <3
Liam’s favorites were:
- Classic Amaretti
- Hazelnut Cream
We’ve discussed in the past that Liam has a lot of food sensory issues,
so we find that traveling and exploring other foods is a
really great way for him to work on expanding his palette. Just being willing to try anything new for him is a big deal! Try the World
has been a wonderful way for him to continue his exploration while
we’re at home and as you can see in this video, he tried everything! We’re very proud of the progress he’s made and while he may not love everything (who does?), he’s at least becoming more willing to try things for himself.
Seamus, on the other hand, is such a little foodie! He’s down for anything and has always had such an adventurous palette.
