Pain-Free Dog Grooming You Can Do At Home

Hello, People of the Internet. Its Patrick here! I recently had the pleasure of checking out the Dremel 7300 PGK pet grooming kit. Dremelโ€™s kit includes the Dremel base, the battery and three attachments. I decided to try it out on our Golden Retriever, Shadow, to see how it held up. Hereโ€™s what I found.

Pros
  • Was great for people who are new to grooming their pets at home. Not loud at all, so it did not scare the dogs
  • The attachment/fur guard made it very easy to do it comfortably
  • The same attachment catches the nail dust, making cleanup minimal
  • The Dremel itself is lightweight and cordless, and the battery lasts for a long time, so no worries of running out of power in the middle of grooming your pet.
  • Changing the attachments was quick and easy
  • The 45-degree paw guide
Con
  • If you twist the attachment too much, it can pop off and you will have to readjust, but this can be easily avoided by just making sure the attachment is on snug, not overly snug.
FINAL OPINION

The 7300 PGK was very simple to use, and a great product overall. Shadow was not bothered by any sound, and seemed to enjoy the experience. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to save on grooming costs by doing it at home.

How exciting. It isn’t easy to find a good pet groomers, so doing it at home is a great option for a lot of people!

So true! Why is it so hard to find a good groomer? We’ve gone through so many :/

I’ve never tried grooming my dog at home so this would be perfect for me. I love that it includes a guard because I’ve always been concerned that I may hurt my dog. This is a great gift idea for the pet lover.

I haven’t ever tried grooming our dog at home before because I am always concerned I will cut his toenails too close. This sounds like a great option.

I will pass this onto my friends with dogs! We just have cats so they’re much easier to brush. Sometimes. One bites.

We have 3 dogs and their nails grow so fast. They really dislike the scissors, so this looks perfect!

Sounds like you’d definitely get some mileage out of this!

So wishing I had this! It can be difficult getting my pups to the groomer. They require an 8am drop-off and I do not get to sleep until 4am due to my schedule!

Ugh that’s no good! We know how that goes, we’ve had unconventional schedules in the past and it makes everything so tough ๐Ÿ™ Get some rest!

Now this sounds really good – sometimes it can be hard to get your pet to a groomer so being able to pamper them at home is such a good idea!

If Babushka ever gets over the fear of hurting the Grandpuppy, this would definitely be something to use. Gracias for the intro.

What a great way to get your dog all cleaned up! Especially perfect for those animals that don’t like the car rides to the groomers.

Yeah! Our golden’s nails grow so quick if we don’t trim them at home he’d have to go biweekly. lol

We dont have a dog but I know it can be expensive to bring the dog to the groomer every week. This would be a good solution that could save a lot of money.

I think the one thing I enjoyed the most about having pets is the grooming! I would love to have this tool when I get my new puppy and kitten! It sounds very essential.

Definitely! We haven’t tried it with our cat and she’s kind of a brat, but our golden really likes it!

This looks really helpful! I have a friend who needs this! She adopted a dog who doesn’t like getting his nails cut, so this would be a perfect gift for her!

Definitely! It’s so much less stressful than the clippers in our opinions ๐Ÿ™‚

My mom needs one of these. I’m going to check it out for a Christmas gift because I’m still trying to figure out what to get her. She has everything EXCEPT one of these.

We tried this Dremel dog nail groomer and my dog was SO scared of the noise. We never got close enough to her nails to trim or smooth them! Maybe I need to pull it out and try again!

I’ve heard that getting one of those cheap electric tooth brushes and working initially with them to get them to allow you to gently rub it on their feet can be helpful!

My dog wont even let us touch his nails-it’s so frustrating! I even got something like this and it freaks him out… Such a bummer.

We need a nail grinder but I’m too nervous to use it. I’m worried I’ll hit the quick!

It honestly does such a good job of preventing that and it’s actually not as fast as you would think! The vid we posted demonstrates us using it on our golden ๐Ÿ™‚
